I have been persuaded (by abigailb ) to make my LJ debut to celebrate the fact that I have just had returned to me my essay for the last of six Distance Learning modules I have been doing for the last 2 1/2 years, with really good marks.  Yay!!

This means that once the Examinations Board meet (not til next summer, I think) I should be awarded Leicester University's Certificate in Archaeology.  This is equal to 1st year undergrad, and would enable me (if I was so minded) to go on to study their 2nd year undergrad course. I have thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it has been hard work and has had to be fitted in with work and family.
